The Goal
The goal of this project was to explain the anatomy and history of 4 typefaces while also telling the story of the1960s.
The Deck
Each suit explains a different aspect of the 1960s. Hearts focus on music and the typeface Neue Kabel. Spades focus on iconic events and the typeface ITC American Typewriter. Diamonds focus on fashion and the typeface Linotype Didot. Lastly, clubs focus on television, film, and the typeface Neue Haas Grotesk.

Creative Process
Card design
Before designing on the computer I started the project with hand sketches.
Box design
Moving to the box design, I wanted to keep the fun colorful print found on the back of the cards while also using the type that is featured in the cards.
